Welcome to Little Compton
Little Compton is a village where life is usually quiet, gentle and very peaceful.
Readers first visited it in The Scallywags and the Firewood Harp, where they met Mozart Bear — composer, conductor and natural leader; Connie Bear — harpist, adventurer and lover of nature; Johnie Badger — cellist and organiser; and Sid Hedgehog — violinist, worrier and devoted watcher of the weather.There was also wise old Forebear, along with Splinter, the youngest of the mysterious Scallywags, and some of his family.
In this new adventure, all of them return — and this time we also meet Farmer Jack, Harriet Hatchling and Mr Pottle. Because although Little Compton may look peaceful, adventures have a habit of beginning there.One perfectly quiet day, for example, the sheep began floating over the rooftops…
